Hyde 05 04 2010

What Games are you Playing?

Many a times a person is engaged and is busy doing their own things especially what they think will give them some pleasure. The children indulge in playing games- every one has different games. Adults think that children are playing games. But Adults are also engaing in different games. For a baby lying in a cot her games may be playing with a small hanging toy in her cot, perhaps the toy makes some sound. The bigger child who may be 10 or 11 years old have their own type of games- computer games, video games. The youth have their own games- dancing in nightclubs or drinking or smoking drugs.

What I am trying to convey to you is that apart from those people who are following divine guidance who are guided by Allah and they intentionally spend their time according to that guidance others are in a game.

Allah Says in the Quran-

This world is gameplay-

so babies play games, toddlers play with toys, children play with videogames, teenagers start playing with going out to dancing clubs. The game keeps changing but it remains a game.

Everyone thinks the others game is futile. The one who has a motorbike thinks he who is playing with a videogame is not playing a good game. The one who is playing with a video game thinks the one who is playing with a ball is not having fun.

Adults also have games- earning the money. A child makes a house out of lego whereas an adult is making a house out of bricks. They are both playing since both houses will perish. There is no difference- none of the houses are permenant.

Don’t worry just like death will come to you- death will also come to the dunya.

Sh A Q Jilani rahimulla.

The Day of Judgement. What do we know about the Day of Judgement? The world will one day shatter to nothing. People will be like scattered moths not knowing where they are and mountains will be floating like cotton strands.

Every game has to end. Football 1 1/2 hours. Card playing has its time. Cricket has one day Internationals and 5 day test matches. Politics is also a game for some. Most people in politics do not want to serve people but they like to feel special or important. What people are politicians serving? They are not preparing for the next life, how can they help you?

Allah Mentions the Order of those who are sincere

O beleivers – save yourselves, then your families then save others.

Imagine if someone is dressed in underwear and is claiming to give others clothes. People with sense will laugh at him, he is naked himself and offering others clothes. Politicians are not dressed in the robes of Taqwa. The politicians who are bereft of Taqwa themselves are asking you to vote for them and they will help you are conning us. Look at us- I will vote for this party this year, last time I voted for them. Politics is also a game.

Look at those adults who visit casinos. Playing games with money. Women play with dolls when they are children. Then as they get older they start dressing themselves and walk around like dolls. These women, if they are not dressed according to guidance are showing others they are part of a game attracting men, sometimes they can be bought by a man with a fat wallet.

These are all shaitanic ways.

When one leaves the guidance of Rasulalah Sallahu alaihi Wassalam they have to play games. The games of shaitan.

When a person dies- his spirit is beaten by shayateen and angels.

Whoevers good deeds are in surplas on the Day of Judgement will attain the real pleasure after which never will there be pain or discomfort.

What pleasure is there in smoking drugs.

Those who have been playing these games and have a surplas of bad deeds on the Day of Judgement will realise that these games were useless. People may not realise here in this world the games they have been playing but when they enter the grave, when the angel of death will come- its form will show them how they lived their lives.

Fire is the destination of those who played games all their lives. On the night of mirage Rasulalah Sallahu alaihi Wassalam saw fornicators hanging in the HellFire by their private parts. Many punishments were seen on the night of mirage.

Allah Says He created us for Paradise. We can enter Paradise. He can Forgive us all our sins by one true repentance. All our sins can also be turned into good deeds. eg if we had been drinking alcohol for years and then made a sincere tawbah Allah Can turn the sin of drinking into the blessing of drinking zam zam so our account will say we were drinking zam zam all that time.

One brother went to Pakistan from europe to get married. There was a dispute with another family. The brother decided to make friends with another family and they swore on the Quran to make a true. The other family decided to break the truce and showered the brother with bullets. The brother passed away. He had dreams of getting married, having children etc

All Pleasures are going to end up in disaster. The pleasure of being young will end when we get old. The dunya is unfaithful. We are all friends who will remain friends as long as we get what we desire from the friendship. Only the awliya Allah are true friends. People abandon them, misuse them, abuse them but still they make duas. They never ask for anything from others.

Another sister was declared dead and taken home to be given ghusl and whilst she was being washed she woke up. Hospital declared her dead. We wonder if the husband was happy or sad when she woke up? Imagine the horror on the face of those giving the ghusl?

These things will continue but one day inshAllah we will be given ghusl. If we protect our eyes from looking at ladies Allah azzawajal will show us the Maidens of Paradise on the Day of Judgement. If we stop listening to music Allah Will allow us to hear His beautiful angels in Paradise.

We are not hear just to give speeches. We want people to change the way they live. From a way of disobedience to a way of obedience. There are courses and teachers available who can help sinful servants change their liuves.

The great scholar Abdul Haqq Muhadith Dehlvi came to a realisation. He realised he had much knowledge. He was a great hadith scholar. He thought I have taught the sayings of Rasulalah Sallahu alaihi Wassalam all my life but I haven’t reached the one whose knowledge I have been teaching Rasulalah Sallahu alaihi Wassalam. He felt the need to consult an expert in the field of Allahs Closeness and decided to visit a great saint, a descendant of Sh Abdul Qadir Jilani rahimulla and said I want to reach Allah azzawajal. Despite my knowledge I have not reached Allah and His Messenger Sallahu alaihi Wassalam and can you teach me how to reach my beloved Sallahu alaihi Wassalam. He had no other questions since he was already a great scholar and knew about Quran and Hadith in great detail.

The saint taught him there are 2 ways you can attain your goals- the saint knew not to quote Abdul Haqq Quran and Hadith- he probably knew better than himself about the knowledge of Quran and Hadith and said to him

either you become a canal like myself. And gradually the canal will enter the river of Rasulalah Sallahu alaihi Wassalam and then the river will enter the ocean of the marifa of closeness to Allah azzawajal.

or you enter the ocean of Allahs Marifa directly yourself by your own efforts.

Sh Dehlvi rahimulla fell at the feet of the wali and admitted he could never reach the Ocean of Allah’s Marifa without first entering the canal of a silsila and this saint and then reach the river of Rasulalah Sallahu alaihi Wassalam.

Tareeqah Muhammediya is also one of many canals that can lead to the presence of Rasulalah Sallahu alaihi Wassalam and Allahs Pleasure.

in the villages of India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka & Pakistan NEARLY ALL men used to wear a turban because it was “in crowd” clothing and men wanted to be seen to be associated with honour/dignity/respect associated with wearing a turban!

women of all religions/faiths covered up their heads because of the nobility/dignity/shyness & modesty associated with not allowing others to see their heads.

….Then a time came in India when the Collonialist was seen dancing in public with his wife in front of some of the Indian higher classes. Those Indian men then grew handlebar moustaches & encouraged their wives to dance in public.

Was just reading this! Does anyone know what it is saying? …The non-muslims have made great inroads into the deen everywhere and on every front. This means that those who, as it were, take the al-Ghazali position, striving to breathe life back into the deen, whether they call themselves sufis or modernists, are bound to fail because the corpse of the Dar al-Islam as traditionally constituted is now corrupted beyond the point of possible resuscitation. What is now necessary is the successful Murabitun approach, cutting through the excessive red tape of accumulated, over sophisticated Islamic scholarship and reconnecting with the rough-hewn, pristine energy of primal Madinan Islam. The tree of Islam must be grown again from seed if the life-giving fruits of Allah’s deen are to be made available to the bereft people of the 21st century. is referring to how the Marabits from muslim spain & how they spread islam naturally through Morocco at a time not dissimilar to our own…. What the Murabitun brought was an unadulterated version of pure Madinan Islam which harked back to the time when the deen was in its original unified state, when inward and outward were undifferentiated, when the spirituality of the Muslims was one with their establishment of the deen. This strong fresh breeze, redolent with direct contact with the very sources of the shari’a and sunna, swept through the maghrib with the Murabitun, purifying everything it touched, driving out the decadence and corruption that had eaten away at the deen. In such circumstances there was no need, indeed no room, for the teachings of Imam al-Ghazali. I think the message of Imam Ghazali rahmutallahi alaihi was spreading in Sham & the Hijaz at the same time.

According to the non-muslim experts who are authorities on us, we have been categorised into 4 groups according to our political/ideological thinking-

1)Fundamentalists- beleive in following Quran & Sunnah literally saying those who differ with them are blind followers & follow innovations.

2)Traditionalists- also follow Quran & Sunnah but they take guidance from 1400 years of scholarship. They call those who differ from them wahabis.

3)Modernists- Want to make a new interpretation of the Quran & Sunnah gradually dismantling what they perceive as extremist islamic symbols like the turban/hijab so that all religions can join together & everyone can live in happiness/bliss together in a new happy world of peaceful co-existence. They beleive all of mankind can overcome shaitan & his deception by standing together united on one platform.

4)Secularist Muslims- They beleive islam is a personal thing between the servant & his Lord and it is not important to assert an islamic identity as long as you celebrate Eid twice a year & fast in Ramadhan!

They have also observed that we are either asians, africans, arabs, those of far east, near east , europe, america etc etc and are trying their best to make sure that our cultural & social differences are exploited to further divide us.

The Ahmadiah Idrisiah Tariqah is a tariqah that emerged and centred in Asir,(Arab Saudi) in the 19th century. It was founded by Shaykh Sayyid Ahmad bin Idris ‘Ali al-Mashishi al-Yamlakhi al-Hasmi .

Since young Shaykh Sayyid Ahmad ibn Idris was educated in an environment that is filled with zuhud and knowledge and he had trained and thought many well known scholars and sufi masters in his era. Based on the education background of Shaykh Sayyid Ahmad bin Idris , it is clear that he had inherited knowledge which are encompassing, especially in hadith, tafsir, fiqh (4 mazhab) dan tasawwuf. If we scrutinised the chain of transmissions that were obtained from world reknowned scholars like al-Muhaddith Shaykh Yasin al-Fadani , Shaykh Sayyid Abbas ibn Abdul Aziz al-Maliki , al-Muhaddith Tuan Shaykh Sayyid Muhammad ibn ‘Alwi al-Maliki and others, we will find the name of Shaykh Sayyid Ahmad ibn Idris among those that are listed in their chain of transmission. Also, Shaykh Sayyid Ahmad ibn Idris is well known to narrate the Musalsal Hadiths and obtained the chain of transmission of ‘Aali [1], for example, the length chain of transmission between Shaykh Sayyid Ahmad ibn Idris and Imam al Bukhari includes onlyi 9 narrators.

Besides possessing the knowledge of al-Quran, Hadiths,Tafsir, Aqidah dan Fiqh, As Shaykh also studied the knowledge of tasawuf until he got the authorisation from Tuan Shaykh Sayyid Abu Al-Mawahib Abdul Wahhab at-Tazi to spread this knowledge as a sufi master of the Khidriah Tariqah. His other spiritual master in the field of tasawuf includes Shaykh Abdul Qosim Al-Wazir (Syaziliah Tariqah ) dan Shaykh Hasan Al-Qina’i (Khalwatiah Tariqah ) .[2]

Here we acknowledge that Shaykh Sayyid Ahmad ibn Idris had mastered and taught various Tariqah. The tariqahs that he had inherited includes Naqshabandiah Tariqah, Qadiriah Tariqah, amongst others.[3]

Also, it was narrated by Shaykh Muhammad bin Ali as-Sanusi that during his understudy with Shaykh Sayyid Ahmad bin Idris , besides the Khidiriah Tariqahin, As Shaykh had taught him other Tariqahs namely, the Nasiriah Tariqah, Naqsyabandiah Tariqah, Uwaysiah Tariqah, Suhrawardiah Tariqah, Shadziliah Tariqah, Hatimiyazamqiah Tariqah dan QadariahTariqah, until Shaykh Muhammad As-Sanusi regards him as “Qutb”. [4]

Yusuf bin Ismail al-Nabhani author of kitab Jami’ Karamat al-Auliya, pictured Shaykh Sayyid Ahmad bin Idris as a Shaykh who manage to synergise and master both outward knowledge(syari’ah) and inward knowledge(tasawuf). He also acquired and submerged himself in the knowledge of al-Quran dan Hadiths through Kasyf(spiritual acquisition).

Al-‘Arif billah Tuan Shaykh Sayyid Muhammad al-Sanusi named this tariqah as al-Tariqah al-Muhammadiah. He said “I transmitted this al-Tariqah al-Muhammadiah ini from various transmission. The highest transmission that we acquired is from our shakyh Qutb al-‘Arifin Imam al-Muhaqqiqin Maulana Sayyid Ahmad bin Idris …”[5]

The great significance about this tariqah is that it was acquired and transmitted directly from Rasulullah in all aspects. Every spiritual works that are taught and practiced in this tariqah is regarded as an inheritance and transmission from Rasulullah and his Sunnah.

And our Shaykh Sayyid Ahmad bin Idris named this tariqah by the name of Ahmadiah, which is named after him – may Allah purify his soul – because Rasulullah specifically taught him this tariqah with the zikir and spiritual works that are complete, prayers that move hearts and sources which are aplenty.[6]

Shaykh Sayyid Ahmad bin Idris acquired the knowledge of this Tariqah directly from Rasulullah [7]. In the meeting (termed as ‘suri’) between Shaykh Sayyid Ahmad bin Idris with Rasulullah , Khidr the prophet, was also present. Rasulullah instructed Saiyidina Khidr to teach Shaykh Sayyid Ahmad the verses from the zikir of the Syaziliyah Tariqah. After that, Rasulullah instructed prophet Khidr to teach Shaykh Sayyid Ahmad the zikir, selawat and istighfar that is the most significant and eminent. And so the prophet of Allah, Khidr taught Shaykh Sayyid Ahmad the sayings of the Tahlil Khusus, Selawat Azimiah and Istighfar Kabir. [8] In that meeting, Rasulullah also explained to Shaykh Sayyid Ahmad on the significance anf secrets of the Tahlil Khusus, Selawat Azimiah dan Istighfar Kabir. Afterwards Rasulullah transmitted those dzikir to Shaykh Sayyid Ahmad directly, without any intercessor. [9]

And so this great tariqah was inherited and formed, lead and propagated by the distinguished sufi master al-Qutb al-Muhaqiqqin Tuan Shaykh Sayyid Ahmad ibn Idris .

A few days ago I attended a fundraising luncheon for what is probably the most well known non-profit organization run by Muslims in the Chicago area and it is fast becoming the darling of the non-Muslim non-profit world and government circles.

I left the luncheon perplexed and deflated at what I witnessed of the actions of the Muslims there and I worried for this organization which seems to be missing a golden opportunity to provide a sound understanding of Islam to the marginalized communities in which they are working. But what I saw was so much accommodation of un-Islamic norms, and dare I say it – a complete disregard for Islamic norms.

I thought to myself, this is what happens when Islam becomes de-spiritualized AND detached from the Law. And then all we have is this “ islamic identity,” which goes out into the world fighting for its place in the spotlight with all of the other identities. And we feed the idols of this new identity with things like “Muslim” hip-hop and country music.

Later in the day my best friend called from the West Coast and I tell her about the luncheon. She tells me that I am out of touch and that most Muslims our age are not like her and I.

She tells me about a documentary she just saw about new converts in California and how one blond woman spoke about how the community of Muslims around her made her feel comfortable to “be herself” and that she didn’t have to change to become Muslim. Wow. Since when did conversion mean :staying just the way that you are ?

My friend says to me rhetorically, “since when did telling a Muslim woman that Islam prescribes hijab become a personal attack against her?”

My friend blames this on the rise of the idea of minority fiqh (jurisprudence). She says that Islamic law already made exceptions for extenuating circumstances and situations, so basically what this “minority Islamic law” is doing is giving people permission to contravene, i.e. openly flout Islam, but still call themselves Muslim.

She gets off the phone to eat dinner and I feel more distraught.

The next morning as I am ironing my clothes it occurs to me that Muslims in America no longer have any ghayra for our religion. Ghayra is sometimes translated as jealousy. But I am not talking about the kind of jealousy that ruins relationships, but instead about the kind someone feels when they don’t want something or someone taken from them – a deep emotional concern.

I can’t think of some cozy way to wrap up this post, except with the prayer that Allah strengthens us in Faith and confidence. Ameen .

Bismillah,

Imagine a guy who wants to gain Allahs Pleasure but doesn’t take the path from an authorised guide who he is in regular contact with- to help him traverse the obstacles that one will encounter when travelling the Path!

A person who visits the gatherings of Shayukh, reads their books, listens to CD sets on purification of the heart but doesn’t embark on the journey is interested in gaining Allahs Pleasure but being interested is simply wishful thinking…

It is similar to a man who wants to be a millionaire, he attends workshops, reads books on how to become a millionaire, sits with millionaires, listens to CDs on how to become a millionaire, praises millionaires but hasn’t taken the first step to be a millionaire himself!

Wouldn’t we call him a foolish person if thats all he did. He had no plan or programme on how to become a millionaire. We would know that you have to be shown how to do business under the tutelege of someone who is rich himself.

This is the likeness of those who do as they wish when they leave the company of the pious! Visit cinemas, watch useless television, gaze at members of opposite sex, backbite, neglect sunnahs like wearing hijab, neglect praying in the mosque without sharia excuse etc etc after attending the blessed events & then say they want Allahs Pleasure!

Imagine spending years attending pious gatherings & not even knowing the rudimentary basics of what pleases Allah & His Messenger Sallahu alaihi Wassalam!

He possessed high spiritual energy, determination, perseverance of Allah’s sacred rights, and firmness of resolution. He laboured in his beginnings on perfection of repentance with its conditions, and on adherence to Shari’a bounds. He minded his own business, and held fast to the Quran and Sunna and the footsteps of the righteous ancestors. He totally turned himself to his Lord, so Allah sufficed him. He reinforced his foundations first by preoccupying himself with the study of the Quran and Sunna, deep thorough comprehension of the fine and subtle sciences and abstruse issues, and strict observance of the principles the Shari’a: “If you hear someone quoting me, place the statement on the scale of the noble Shari’a. If it balances, take it; if it doesn’t, leave it, for within the noble Quran and Hadith, you will find the Tijaniya. Outside the circle of Quran and Hadith, there is no such thing.”

When the death of Sidna Shaykh drew near, few months after the wedding of his children: Sidi Mohammed al-Kabir (d. 1238/1823) and Sidi Mohammed al-Habib (d. 1269/1854), his body temperature rose and developed a fever. The night before his death, Sidna Shaykh asked five companions to spend the night with him. Afterwards he has gone back when aware that he needs servants earlier that night and that he cannot mix men together with women. Days before his death Sidna Shaykh made a will in favor of women. “The one who owns a female slave without letting her getting married or selling her, he must give up my company and have nothing to do with me,” he declared. It is well-know that the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) said in the farewell address, “Verily you owe your women their rights, and they owe you yours… Fear Allah in respect to women, and concern yourselves with their welfare.” It is obvious that Sidna Shaykh’s will stems from his Prophetic Inheritance.

Sidna Shaykh passed away on Thursday, the 17th of Shawal, 1230/1815. When he performed the Subh prayer, he laid down on his right side while he asked for a glass of water, then he returned to his bed. At that time his blessed soul went up to its holy position. Princes, judges, notables and large crowds attended his funeral. The Mufti of Fez Sidi Abu Abdullah Mohammed ibn Ibrahim Dukkali led the mortuary prayer at the Qarawiyyine mosque. People were rushing and trying hard to have that great honor of holding the blessed coffin of Sidna Shaykh and it was a scene full of deep emotions where tears and sorrows constituted the landmark of this great event. Sidna Shaykh was buried in the well-known place in his blessed Zawiya. One year later, the children of Sidna Shaykh, following the Will of Allah, dug up his blessed corpse in order to transfer it to Ain Madhi, but the disciples in Fez took him and finally buried him in his noble tomb. On this occasion Sidi Mohammed al-Ghali led the mortuary prayer. Of the strange things that happened, one relates to what Sidna Shaykh himself told some of his companions. He informed them that it would be indispensable that Sidi Mohammed al-Ghali be present and lead the mortuary prayers before his corpse when he died. However, when Sidna Shaykh died, Sidi Mohammed al-Ghali was on a trip. Thus he was not present by the time Sidna Shaykh died and was therefore unable to attend the mortuary prayer and the burial. On the second time, he was there, and therefore prayed for Sidna Shaykh. Thus, the prediction made by Sidna Shaykh came true.

Sidna Shaykh lived for eighty years. He lived 30 years in the Katmiya-Khatmiya nature which he was aware of while Adam was between the water and the clay. For 30 years he was the main active propagator of the Ahmediya Mohammediya doctrine. From his Fez headquarters, he organized the order, which spread in the farthest east and the western regions. During the same period, some of his appointed muqaddams had established new Tijani centres in the whole world and developed ramifications of their own. Muqaddams continues to expand Islam and spread the word and now there are 300 millions of Tijani followers around the world. African Tijanis come in droves to Fez to pray at the Grand Zawiya often on their way to Mecca. Thus, because of Sidna Shaykh, Fez became essentially a pilgrim city. After all, the writings of Ibn Arabi make sense. The Futuhat al-Makkiya has played an important role in linking the nature of the Mohammedian Seal with the essence of Fez and the Maghreb. The completeness of Ibn Arabi’s insight gives also brilliance to the hadith, “A group of my community will remain on truth in the Maghreb until Allah commands.”

On the 18th of Safar, one month and few days on achiveing the Qutbaniya, Sidna Shaykh perceived his great rank: i.e. Maqam al-Katmiya (Stage of Concealhood). Thus he gained eternal fame with the title of the “Concealed Pole” (al-Qutb al-Maktum). Sidna Shaykh said, “The Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) told me in daylight not in state of sleepiness that I was the Concealed Pole (al-Qutb al-Maktum) and the Sealed Isthmus (al-Barzakh al-Makhtum)”. The quiddity of this rank is concealed. The Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) said, “[Al-Qutb al-Maktum] is the one Allah had concealed from His angles and prophets except me”. According to Sidi Mohammed al-Ghali Boutaleb (d. 1244/1829) Sidna Shaykh lived 30 years in the Katmiya. The scholar Sidi Mohammed ibn al-Mishri (d. 1224/1809) remarks in Kitab al-Jami’a, “The Hidden Pole has a position facing the Mohammedian Reality that will never be for anyone else from amongst all the greatest of the saints (may Allah be pleased with all of them). With that said, verily his reality in that position which is specific to him will not occur to anyone but God and the Chieftain of Existence (peace and blessing be upon him) because he has a relationship with the Mohammedian Reality.” In the Jawahir al-Maani, Sidna Shaykh Abul Abbas Tijani is quoted to say the following on the Mohammedian Reality,

“Know that when Allah created the Mohammedian Reality, He placed inside it all that He apportioned for the creation from the outpouring of knowledge, gnosis, secrets, manifestations, light, as well as the creation (itself) by way of all its rulings, necessities, and requirements. Also know that he (peace and blessing be upon him) is now ascending in perfect witnessing of the Divine in such a way that no one else could ever hope for. This perfection will never end for the duration of an eternity of eternities. Regarding this, there is nothing within the essences of existence anything more worthy of respect or greater than this Mohammedian Reality nor purer or cleaner or more perfect. Again, verily it is in its actual reality unreachable and unrecognisable. Uwais al Qarni (may Allah be pleased with him) said to Sidna Omar and Sidna Ali (may Allah be pleased with both of them) when they met him: “You haven’t see anything of the Prophet but his shadow.” They replied: “Not even the son of Abi Qahafa” (Sidna Abu Bakr). He replied, “Not even the son of Abi Qahafa.” He did not say that to them until he had reach into the depths of gnosis wherein he sought a place in the essence of the Mohammedian Reality. It was said to him: “This is an affair whose arrival is incapacitated for even the greatest of the Prophets so its hopeless for anyone in any aspect or state.” Abu Yazid said (may Allah be pleased with him): “I underwent the depths of gnosises in search of place at the essence of the Mohammedian Reality to where I found between me and it a thousand veils of light. If I approached the first veil I would be burned just as a hair is burned when cast into the fire, and so I merely delayed the retreat.”

More, Shaykh al-Islam Abul Fayd Sidi al-Haj Ibrahim ibn Abdullah Niass al-Kulakhi (d. 1390/1975) has said,

“The Mohammedian Reality is manifested on the reality of Sidna Shaykh, the Concealed Pole and Seal of Sainthood, from the primordial time till period of his appearance. Sidna Shaykh is the only saint that receives divine providence directly from his grandfather (peace and blessing be upon him). The Mohammedian Reality manifested on Sidna Shaykh encloses all the attributes of his grandfather (peace and blessing be upon him) save that of prophethood. That is the reason why Sidna Shaykh Tijani was named the Best of all Saints. Whoever drinks from the spiritual sea of Mohammedian Reality will emerge as prophet save Sidna Shaykh Tijani who drank from it and did not become a prophet but a saint. (…) Shaykh Tijani is the source of sainthood and all creation receive its divine providence from his nature from the primordial time till the day of resurrection. Sidna Shaykh said: “My two feet steps on the neck of all saints from the period of Adam to the day of resurrection”. I (Shaykh Niass) say there is no controversy over this, what he means by his two feet his Sufi order and his reality. He asserted, through ecstatic utterances that “I am He and He is I and if I am asked thousands of questions, I will answer in one word”. By virtue of this he emerged as a Seal of Saints just like the Prophet (pace and blessing be upon him) emerged as Seal of Prophets. The Tijani Sufi Path abrogated all Sufi Orders just like the Divine Law (Shari’a) of the Prophet abrogated all laws before him.”

Al-Khalifa al-Mu’addam, Sidi Abul Hassan Harrazem, enumerated the following virtues (karamat) Allah have bestowed upon Sidna Shaykh,

1. (That) Allah has gathered and assembled for him both poleness (al-qutbaniya) and obsoleteness (al-fardaniya), 2. The intercession for the people of his time during his life until his death, 3. (That) Allah made him reach the sublime knowledge within his presence a number of one million people multiplied by itself then fourfold and close to this number are women and the Jinns. Thus this number will be reaching the stations of perfect knowledge (kamal al-ma’arifa), love (al-ma’habba), direct perception (al-mushahada), certitude (al-yaqin), oneness (al-tawhid), courtesies (al-adaab), science (al-’ilm), the straightforwardness (al-istiqama). 4. (That) the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) had orally taught him the (litany of) “Dur al-Anwar”, and that it did not exist in the universe except what has Allah appeared it to our Master through the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him), and it is equal to the “Greatest Name” in acceptance. 5. (That) the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) had taught him the he (litany of) the “Idrissid Names” (al-Asmae al-Idrissiya). 6. (That) Almighty Allah has bestowed upon him and gave him and made him reach the Qutbaniya of spiritual education (tarbiya) and eye glance (nadra) leading the disciple to the perfect knowledge, direct perception, certitude, oneness, courtesies, science, and straightforwardness. He can lead him to Allah from his initial walking to his desire in an eye glance. And promote his heart with his secret (sirr) not in attitude. He makes him reach in a quick eye glance (nadhra) extracting him (as a result) from the obstacles of the stage of Islam (maqam al-Islam) and the stage of faith (maqam al-iman) and the stage of beneficence (maqam al-I’hsan) so that he can embellish him with that one eye glance (nadhra) with the three above stances leading him (to reach), with it (nadhra), in drunkenness (sukran) and awakening (sa’hwan) and subsistence (sa’hwan) and annihilation (baqa’an); as he sees no one with his heart in a remote place and in spite of the fact he is an unbeliever or a despot king and by that Master’s eye glance he will be a complete knower in God (‘arif kamil). All these achievements need no companionship or spiritual education, but the Shaykh can only look at him through his heart whenever this disciple who is an unknown element is based, and therefore turns him immediately into to a perfect knowledgeable man. 7. (That) the Shaykh’s supply (madad) shall continue to flow until the doomsday as his paths (may Allah be pleased with him) on human beings exceed the number of ten thousand; each path is leaded by a student of his; each path is derived into other paths of gnosis until the doomsday, while the Jinn’s paths exceed the number of ten thousand and each path is also derived into sections until the doomsday where Almighty Allah shall inherit the earth and what is upon it. The particularity of the wird is also ever lasting until the doomsday provided it is read and it is daily remembered, and may all the pleasure of God be upon Sidi Ahmed through the blessings of our Dearest Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him). 8. (That) the Almighty has provided him the Greatest Name of Allah that specially reserved for the Holy Prophet (al-Ism al-A’adham al-Kabir al-Khass bi-Rasulillah) and in which I cannot go further into it and the one interested in it should read the Jawahir Al-Ma’ani.
